“We added a room to our home for a master bathroom and it turned out beautifully. All workmen were directed to the specific part of our home under construction which made it easy for us to remain in our home during the construction. The subcontractors were polite and conscientious, removing their shoes and cleaning up, if they needed to work in the area of our home that was not under construction. We were able to upgrade the plumbing and electrical for the entire house.
It was easy to get in touch with Dave, Jer, or Colby during the construction. They rapidly responded and resolved any questions we had. They were on site nearly every day and we had weekly meetings to review the previous progress and the future schedule. We were provided an agenda and meeting minutes for each meeting. It was great to receive photos each week of the progress.
We were pleased with the documentation for the budget. The budget included a description of each line item as well as any revisions or additions. We had a few change orders and they were well documented and completed. It was easy for us see what money was budgeted, what had been paid, and what remained to be paid. I appreciated receiving copies of the bills from the subcontractors or from the companies that had furnished supplies.
A few items were backordered. We received information about the new timeframes and were given the option of choosing a replacement item. We were happy with the communication when something had been backordered or delayed.
We also want to recognize the quality workmanship and materials that were used. We are not in the construction industry, but we know what a good job should look like. We also had friends and relatives in the construction business that remarked on the quality of the work being done.
We will be using Solid Renovation again for additional work in an adjacent bedroom.
Do we have any regrets? Yes! We should have done this sooner.”
