Salt Lake City - Basement Remodel
This basement transformation turned an unfinished, dark, and chilly space into a bright, cozy, and functional part of the home. The project involved reimagining a previously underutilized area, which had primarily served as storage, into a vibrant and versatile space for the whole family. Structurally, we reconfigured the floor plan to maximize functionality and eliminate outdated materials and awkward layouts. One of the highlights is a brand-new entertainment room featuring a custom-built TV console with ample storage space. The basement also includes a custom bar, perfect for hosting and relaxing.
We split a large craft room into two spaces: a dedicated craft room and a spare bedroom. Existing cabinets were repurposed, with some staying in the craft room and others relocated to a newly created storage room. A hundred-year-old door was relocated as the entrance to a workshop, completed with an epoxy floor. Ceiling space was maximized to create an open and inviting atmosphere, while improved lighting ensures the entire area feels warm and bright. A bathroom was added as well. We’re thrilled with how this basement remodel turned out!
